Is it just me or do I sometimes think 6 strings seem EASIER? I only play 4's (for now) and it seems runs and finding notes and phrases just seem simpler on a 6 so long as you know the fretboard.

Well, if you know the fretboard, then it'll be easier on a 4

I went from a 4 string, to a 7 string.
After shedding the 7 for a while, when I went back to the 4, I had a lot more ideas. Found my way around the fretboard easier.

Good idea Mark, as i had a Conklin Groove Tools 7, but came to find that that was way too much bass for me.

I didn't have a clean technique.

I'm a technique freak. I spent a lot of time adjusting my technique from my 4 string to play my 7. Turns out, it helped my 4 string playing!

But yea. The bass is definitely a handful. I have a GT7
