On the bass lesson coarse I'm doing introduced picks as part of the lesson. I was wondering if their was a particular size of picks that I should use? I bought 5 picks from sizes 1.0 to 2.0 |

Me, I use a Dunlop Tortex .50mm triangular pick. I didn't like the clacking a thicker pick gave, so going to a thin pick eliminated that for me. And the large triangular size gives me something to hang on to.

|  | Registered User | | Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: Deep East Texas Piney Woods | | | I play a nursing home every Thursday. One of the residents, that sits in with us, had one of those large triangle picks, I used it to tune his 6 string guitar. Had a nice feel. Fit my hand nicely.
Might give that a try.

Not the giant, straight-sided "Dorito" ones, but the smaller curved-sided ones (Fender has a number for that shape, but I forget what it is). Anyway, I prefer the Gibson medium version. They're just a tad more supple than a Fender medium.
