Pittsburgh Area

Is anyone an instructor in the Pittsburgh, PA area who focuses on jazz instruction, or have any leads on someone to contact who is. Ultimately, I'd love to find someone who's partial to fretless, as I am myself.

i am also in pittsburgh, and other than contacting a professor or student at dusquene, i dont think there is much available, I know that pitt doesnt have bass studies, but does have guitar.

i live in pittsburgh as well. I do take jazz lessons, but off a guitar player. He plays bass for the lessons though, but i definitely learn a lot.

I got a response from a former Jeff Berlin student, I've seen some videos and his technique and instruction style seem to be similar, plus his rate is amazing ($20 an hour) but he's all the way up in Zelienople, so I'll be driving 35 miles each way. Looks like I'm putting some extra miles on the car I guess.

I teach jazz, fretless bass and acoustic bass in Pittsburgh. If your interested. Studied with John Patitucci and Ron Carter to name a few...
