playing with a digeridoo

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all, Well I've been playing the bass for a couple of years now, and I've just met a guy who's a digeridoo player, and is interested in having a jam with a drummer, making some music etc. Whils it's all going relatively well so far, I'm kind of struggling to get my head round playing with a digeridoo, as there's only really one real note they're playing, how can you work with that/change things around and play some dcent tunes?
Any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows about it/has done similar things before.
Kind Regards

The first thing that came to mind was Jamiroquai. Try listening to some of their stuff, it might give you some ideas. At 2:09 the digeridoo is playing over a groove.

Sunny Ortiz from Widespread Panic is known to use one and it seems to work well in their mix. I think you will need more than just drums, bass and digeridoo though. Atleast one, maybe 2 guitars to fill things out.

You can have pepper on your food but I dont think you can eat just pepper.

Check out Xavier Rudd. Saw this guy at show in Philly with some chick. Some really groovy stuff and he plays Diger a lot.
