Playing & Singing?

All right, I don't know wheter this belongs inhere or at the technique section, but I'm sure the moderators are more than eager to move it for me if it doesn't belong here.

Getting to the point:
I've been fooling around with a couple of guys for some time now, getting together and improvising/playing some songs. Though we haven't got a singer (two guitarists, me, and a drummer) So I thought I could sing, while playing. It was harder than I expected, having to think of playing the song right and getting the lyrics right and in some rythm. So my question to you is: Do you know any way I could learn this properly so we can have a singer when we ever think of doing some gigs?
