Practice Tracks / Jam Tracks

Sign in to disble this ad
Anybody know of a good source for jam tracks to practice/jam along with? I'd like to practice to some motown/r&b/blues/funk to some accompanyment that doesn't include vocals or bass. What do you guys like to practice to?

Secondly, are there any resources out there that you know of that isolate specific instruments from a track? I'd love to be able to study some Jamerson lines with just him and the drums.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you own a mac Garage Band has some nice little loops, and sells cheap loop packages...

Then there is band in a box which a lot of people swear by.

Also if you have a keyboard you can just select up a beat, auto-accompany some chords, loop it up and have a ball.

band in a box is great, It's probably the best practice tool i've used. It's easy to input whatever chord progression you want, pick what style you want. Take the bass track out and you're away
