I've reached a point where I can't improve. not because theres no way i could possibly get better, but because I dont know what to do to get better. Ive learnt all the basic stuff, chords, sight reading, scales etc, improvising, different techniques, a lot of songs... I dont know what to do now, every time I pick up the bass it feels like ive played this stuff at least a million times before... Tips?

Hook into the drummer - play off-beat, swap to on-beat, play your own riffs, step 'progressively' into the next chord when there's a bit of space between phrases. Play Groove, play non-groove. Jump up and down to different octaves. Mix different octaves in some arpeggio's. See if you can play without sheets and stay in touch with the chord progressions (or by reading chords from the keyboardist / guitarist's left hand).

Hope all of this makes sense...
