Some names like Billy Sheehan, Marcus Miller, Nathan East, Jeff Berlin, and Vic Wooten will do clinics or group instruction, but don't appear to do one-on-one sessions.
In any event, be prepared to pay a premium for the opportunity to study with a top-tier player. Fees can range from $50 to $125 an hour.

There's a great bunch of pro players that are fantastic musicians although not famous. I believe there's a lot of really great musicians that just never becomes famous because they perhaps don't know all the right people or don't just market themselves or even want to become famous.
Nothing wrong with taking lessons from famous musicians, but I think you learn as much from less famous musicians as well, and for much less money. Just don't stick to the same teacher for too long times.

If you like someone just contact them and ask. But a lot of them aren't good teachers they have been playing so long they forgot what's its like to be a student.

I don't think Victor gives lessons per se, but he does run Bass Nature camp.

Gladly, this doesn't happen all that often, imhe. |

My mother traded a sheep for a lesson for me from Glen Moore of Oregon, a real eye opener.
