Question about chord progressions

I've been messing around with chords, just playing stuff and taking note of what sounds good. I really like the sound of the M7 chord. The problem is, I'm new to chord progressions. What are some chords and progressions that sound good with the M7? Where can I take it?

In general, is there a table of these for the various chords to give me some ideas to get me started ?

Any chord can follow any chord if it sounds good to you.
There are some proggressions that are used more than others.
You could google the chord progressions to a bunch of songs and see where others might take a M7 chord.
Just moving a M7 chord down a maj 3rd is a good sound.
IE: CM7 to Ab M7.
