Question about Hal Leonard Easy Pop Bass Lines

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey I just had a quick question. I picked up Easy Pop Bass Lines to work on while I go through the Hal Leonard bass method books.

I have bought a lot of song books and they always have the tempo for each one, this book does not. Is there a reason for that or is it not normal to show the tempo of the song?

I can't think of a good reason why there wouldn't be a tempo listed. Does it come with a CD to give you any idea of a tempo? If not I'd Youtube the songs to get an idea.

It does come with a CD.

This book and it's counterparts More Easy Pop Bass Lines and Even More Easy Pop Bass Lines are great learning tools. I use them with my students as soon as they are ready. The backing band on the CD is really good, the arrangements are very faithful to the originals, the songs are right in the range of the beginning to intermediate sight reader, and, best part, NO TABS! So if you're wanting to focus on your reading in standard notation, these are a great resource.

They go along with the Ed Friedland method books hand-in-hand. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but it's a lucky coincidence.

First edition did not come with cd's actually, which is the one I have.

Its not a big deal I am just getting the actual songs to play along with and after a few quick tries its not that hard to find the temp. I was just curious if it is normal not to include the tempo, I have seen a few song books do that now but majority that I have looked at include the tempo.
