Perfect example of melodic wave action. No waves, boring but fifteen foot swells not a lot of fun, now three to five foot waves, a great sail.

"Sheets of sound", I believe they called it. Quite a transcription. Cool animation. Just wish I could read that fast. One of these days...

This isn't the Coltrane "sheets of sound" technique, not by a long shot. This is actually rather conservative bebop playing, albeit at a fast tempo and with crazy chord changes. Sheets of sound was one of Coltrane's avant garde techniques he explored later.
