okay, i used to take lessons, and knew how to read some music. i stopped, and now i totally forgot. i want to know how to read, so i can take jazz band when i get to high school. i still have the book, and am starting all over again, about 30-35 min a day. so far im on the E string notes . well, you guys think this is a good idea, or do i need to see a teacher.

yes, it's a good idea, keep working.

yes, see a teacher.

Good luck - jazz band is what keeps my reading chops where they are to this day. Have fun!
