Do I have this correct?
Bass Clef, written for Electric Bass is represented an octave higher than the actual note. For example the 2nd space from the bottom of the staff is actually C3. We play this on the 3rd fret of the A-String which is actually C2.
Am I right so far?
On the treble clef C4 (middle C) is the first ledger line below the staff. C4 is actually the 17th fret of the G-String but we play this dot on the 5th fret of the G-String.
When reading treble clef should I play this as a C2, i.e. the 3rd fret on the A-String?
I hope I was clear...
THANKS,
