If I said "No," I would just be feeding into your fantasies that there is some semblance of normalcy in this world . . . .

The camp caters to all ages. Campers under the age of 18 must be chaperoned by an adult and purchase a spouse/family package.
So the Playboy Mansion is a family destination now?

Chicago's Playboy Club in the 50's.
After a night on the town you could end it at the Playboy Club. Everything was the same price. Don't remember what that was, but, a drink or a pack of cigarettes, or breakfast, was the same price and as I remember it was not all that expensive.

Memories.........

I believe we need to open a "Rock-n-Roll Groupie Camp".
I for one will volunteer as a counselor.

The RRFC Young Rockers Program is designed for mature, young musicians with a desire and passion to play music. At our weekend camps, the Young Rockers Program starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday with a concert.

The Concert:
On the final day of camp, the young rockers will join our adult Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp participants for a live show at a major venue. Each band performs a set list of its choosing. Just to be clear, this won't be a "school choir" like-type concert....RRFC shows are full out, fist pumping, rock concerts! You'll earn full "my child is a Rock Star" bragging rights.

Price: $2,999

What a message for parents to send to their kids...it doesn't matter how talented you are, the only thing that matters is how much money you have to spend! Idk about you guys, but when I was a kid, if my parents shelled out money so I could go to a camp and pretend im a rock star...I'd feel like a total pansy.

It's already been happening. Remember the lil girl with the "Friday" song on youtube? This is where it came from - just bring your money.

The fantasy camp is more aimed at dads who never got to live their teenage dreams and now have money to blow.

Or a place washed-up, former rock-geezers can still make some dough.

In any event, God Bless Capitalism!

I dunno, sounds like fun for a certain type of person. Not for me, but I can see the appeal.

Perhaps we should start the rock-n-roll reality camp.

Show kids how to get day gigs so they can afford to play s**t gigs for S**t $$ for s**t head club owners that, since the popularity of karaoke and other forms of free entertainment, love to exploit hard working musicians offering great gigs in their high dollar club for "exposure".

This is probably a real big time for some guys - nothing at all wrong with it. On the substantive side, I wonder what a recording session with Eddie Kramer is worth.

Just another means to get more knowledge. A good friend has attended two of these seminar type gatherings featuring Todd Rundgrunt sp) this friend is an accomplished musician and has recorded 2 cd's from his home studio that showed his talents and desires. He explained to me that Todd is a quality producer, musician, engineer and a respected evaluator of talent. So why not???? Your not walking into an A Studio and pulling up a chair to shoot the **** and have a master engineer teach you what you want to know????

I've heard of Todd but really didn't know anything about him so after a search I see he's left his hat in alot of venues and has a very good record (excuse the expression) in his work file. I'll guess some of these events are a summer camp type yuppie thing but I know now that some are genuime and a can be a wealth of knowledge first hand instead of a video or reading research. Plus it beats the crap out of touring after 65 yrs of age. Different strokes.....................!! Doc

Rock and Roll Camp lesson 1 in "Rock Star" reality, Creative Accounting 101:

"The camp's been cancelled. Here's your refund. Minus Promotional Considerations. Minus Commission. Minus Breakage. So now you only owe us $11,000."

See, you're living like a Rock Star already...
