I don't have that DVD but I have a different Rock House DVD (for guitar). I didn't really like it, but that might have nothing to do with the DVD you're looking at (I assume they are all varied in quality) plus we are all different, so maybe you like different things than I like.

However I would hesitate to pay 35 dollars for a DVD, unless somebody told me it's the best DVD of all time (which I doubt). See if you can find it on Ebay for less (I bet you can).

Also, Netflix has some bass instruction DVDs as well. That could be a good option, too, and much cheaper if you already subscribe.

Oops, I see that you get 3 DVDs for 35 dollars. That's more like it. I still didn't like the Rock House DVD I have. And one of the things you pay for is access to Rock House's website -- which I never, ever used... Talk Bass is better

Not to be too picky, but what about it specifically gave you pause? Like instructional quality or film quality, etc? What might bother you might not be a big deal to me, or vice versa.

Thanks.

Here's the problem with "Instructional DVDs" (I use the term loosely)
