| A Return to the Bassment

Hi all,
I just joined the forums, after reading a ton of different threads because I would appreciate some advice. I've played bass for about seven years, but haven't barely touched my instrument (due to my parents having a somewhat messy divorce) for about a year and a half. I finally got my beautiful bass back, but I've forgotten almost everything I knew. I took a look at my old books and things, but nothing came back. I now realize how little I knew in the way of good bass playing, and that I just limped my way though learning until I was good enough to play somewhat advanced Jaco licks, but so bad that it would take me long amounts of time to read simple music. So I've decided that I want to get it right this time, but I don't know where to start. I want to be much more well rounded, and able to be a versatile player. Where should I begin?
Thanks. |
