There are really a plethora of good rythmic excercises.
All depends on what you are trying to improve on.

Some suggestions
For general timing, whip out the methronome and play something you know well (a scale or a bassline), then try this
- Play the line reeeally slow (not as easy as i sounds)
- Play the line in tempo (or a bit slower) but set the methronome at half time, and play so that the met clicks at beats 2 and 4, or even 1-and and 3-and. Experiment with this.
- In all cases be sure to keep the subdivisions yourself. Try counting loud (1 2 3 4 or 1-and-2-and-3-and-4-and or even ONE-eh-and-eh-TWO-eh-and-eh-...)

Theres also alot of excercises that utilizes the body coordination, and though it doesn't include the bass, it will wastly improve your timing (and thus the bass playing)

Do you have any more specific references that I can look up for these exercises? Websites, books, etc?

Try the Louis Bellson Modern Reading in 4/4 book - that will sort out your rhythm reading and if you use a metronome your internal sense of time.
