Rolling Basslines???

I'm sorry if this has been addressed before, but I'm kinda confused, and anything I found through the search didn't really answer my question. I listen to, and play a lot of blues with my band. I heard the term "rolling bassline" recently, and had never heard it before. I was discussing Chicago style blues with a friend, which is where I heard the term. Chicago blues has many other names such as "train blues", "electric blues", etc, or so I've heard. So what exactly is a rolling bass line as played in the Chicago blues style. I have never really gotten a definite explanantion. I think I know what they are, because I probably play them every day. Are they basically the heavily repeating 12 bar lines, with embelishments thrown in there here and there? For example, is Tommy Shannon playing rolling basslines with Stevie Ray Vaughn? I'm guessing that is what a rolling bassline is...
