My bass teacher moved away a month ago and I havent found a new one since.

I have been concentrating on plucking hand, trying to get a steady and consistent 1,2,3,2,1,2,3,2,1 etc. I have been doing this to the nome on about 60 bpm while fingering the major scale, concentrating on r,3,5,7,8. I feel as though I am progressing, but without a teacher I dont know what to do next

I am beginning to read standard notation, know basic chord structure theory, circle of fifths/fourths and the dominant/sub-dominant/tonic idea.

Knowing what you know now, what would you have done if you were in my shoes.

Learn a few blues songs, figure out how to walk over 1 4 5 chords.
Join a band, play with people better than you
Figure out some of your favorite rocks songs (by ear)
Join a band, play with people better than you
Continue learning songs
join a jazz combo

Find a teacher.
If you cant find a bass teacher theres lessons on the internet for almost everything (i'm sure TalkBass can point you in the right direction), take some piano lessons and use a different part of your brain.
