Hello People
I am learning the scales :the major modes
Like Ionian (major)
Dorian
Phrygian
Mixolydian etc...etc...
I need a list of as much song as possible.
Such as : "Norvegian Wood" by Beatles is Mixolydian.
Would you give me song or artist list for each of the scales ?? So that i can listen to them more carefully...

Turn on the radio NOW and work out the main vocal melody to the first tune you hear on your bass. Just figure out the hook.

It's a major scale, or major scale mode, right?

Probably 99% of the songs in western culture use major scale or modes of!!!

Do you want to list a billion billion songs!!!

Seriously, you dont need to list them and you really dont need help finding them! You've got a couple already, just get out there and work out a few songs a day.
The major scale is so well used you're probably hearing it every time you hear music!

The best practice you do is to work out a couple of melodies, or guitar parts, or bass lines, or whatever each day on your bass and work out how they relate to the major scale.
