Seeking instructor in Boston/Cambridge

Sign in to disble this ad
Been playing for 14ish years, just starting to take it seriously.
Suzuki trained violinist from age 3, switched to bass around age 12.
Style's all over the place, need guidance!

Any suggestions for me? Cambridge or Somerville Massachusetts would be best.

Thanks all!

Seek out Mike Rivard from Club Delf.

They often play at The Lizard Lounge.

Find someone who's an accomplished jazz bassist who takes bass guitar seriously. A player of that caliber will be able to offer helpful guidance with whatever direction your'e trying to go with your music.

No really, I grew up there. I didn't get to go there (had to get a "real" degree at BU), but knew a few who did. There were always guys posting ads on boards, around the school, in the music stores, etc. I know its been a while for me, but you haven't seen any to check out?

Ah, no. I don't really have any excuse to wander by there physically, so I'd have to make a special trip. I've been doing my search online mostly.
