Seeking Teacher in NorCal (Napa Valley)

I'm looking for a proficient teacher who can help guide me to become the best musician & bassist I can be. I've been playing a little over five years, just starting to get very serious about theory and playing in general. I am mostly self taught but have taken a few lessons in the past. I would say my currently knowledge of theory and playing is in the intermediate level. Jazz is my main focus right now but I also have a deep appreciation for rock, r&b, funk, etc.

Anyway, I am looking for a teacher in the area who would like to work with me. Preferably not more than a 40 minute drive from Napa. If there is anyone out there who can help me out, please let me know!

Search "Scott Thunes" on Facebook, Zappas old bass player. He lives in the area. My guitar player takes keyboard And theory lessons from him.

Gordon Lustig is an absolute theory animal. He's a guitar teacher though...

Hey fellow Napan bassist. I can recommend Michael Wilcox. He used to teach at the Jazz School in Berkley. He is cool guy who will blow your mind with useful theory and exercises that you can put to use right away. He is the only instructor that really challenged me and not asked what song I wanted to learn how to play.

His email is: wilcotime@aol.com . His studio is in Oakland/Emeryvile and his Fodera Emperor will make you cry.... Hope it helps and feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need info.
