Serious bass teacher needed in eastern NC.

Ok most of the people who teach bass here are guitarists who teach you to play roots, but I'm seeking a teacher beyond mediocre.

A teacher with heavy jazz influences and maximum versatility would be appreciated. Techniques such as double thumb and sweeping are a plus. Just let me know of any amazing bass teachers within an hour and a half of goldsboro (raleigh and beyond)

im not sure any teachers would teach you that, its very rare as its a move used by only a couple of bassists

I mean I don't expect them to know those techniques, but a solid teacher which could teach me jazz fundamentals and numerous styles is waht I'm really seeking.

trust me, even to play jazz, you have to know what al the other bassists know, Les Claypool could play Jazz, you need to know it all to be a proper bassist then work with your best attribute

No. No they aren't. What you need is someone who will give you a good foundation in musical fundamentals and the ability to hear with clarity and understanding.

You might want to see if Ron Brendle is teaching.
