OK, I can find tab - download almost any Song - what are the good sites for getting sheet music? If this is the wrong forum please move it.

Sorry if this has been asked - but I know the TB'ers will come through as they have on all my inquiries. TIA!

Download powertab and go to ultimate-guitar.com to download files. Most of the times, a bass part is transcribed. It's written in both tab and bass clef.

I've run into this problem myself, and the best I can usually do is to find tab with accompanying (usually incorrectly notated) standard notation. It's been bugging me a lot, because I REALLY want something akin to the Rush anthology tab books that just has correctly notated sheet music. I think the problem is tab sells better because noone wants to spend the ten minutes it takes to understand how to read music. Everyone thinks it's SO COMPLICATED when it's usually simpler than tab anyway. Ugh. rant over.

the two sites posted earlier seem decent, but are still a far cry from what SHOULD be a readily available resource, free or otherwise. I'd pay good money for decent transcriptions in standard notations - the problem is they often don't exist.

I agree I am a modest reader at best - and I agree now that I read reasonably well - it is harder for me to decipher tab - funny thing is I stopped playing for 15 years and when I recently started again - I took out some music and was surprised I remembered most of it. I had to brush on the key sigs and some other stuff - but I use standard notation more and look at the accompanying tab for position.

Thanks to all for the links and suggestions!!
