im sorta new to the hole ska syle playing i would realy like to know what are some important things to learn for playing ska that would help me advance eith my speed skill or anything that help me understand it better

No one in the world can type anything that will help you nearly as much as if you just get some English Beat, The Specials, and Bob Marley records and listen/play along.

If you are talking ska/punk then arpeggios are what most of the bass lines consist of, just learn a lot of major, minor, M7, m7, etc. arpeggios and go to town.
