Slap groove

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everybody.

For an upcoming latin gig I have to learn a song and, during the process, I came up with this short slap groove replacing a totally different (and much simpler) fingerstyle part. After practicing it, I thought it would be cool to share it with all of you fellow TBers. Give it a try! Nothing novel nor extraordinarily difficult here, but getting the double stops to sound at the same time at that tempo may be tricky (no flams allowed). Same for getting the first eighth note from the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th measures to ring clearly (not sounding as a dead note, like the others). Notice the key signature (E flat major), the tempo (113 half notes per minute) and the time signature (cut time). Hope you enjoy it. Let me know!
