Soca?

Can anyone give me a quick lesson or description of a common Bass line (esp rhythm) for this style?
I've been asked to try to make a piece sound "Soca" and I'll be honest, I'm not familiar with the style.
Thanks!

Perhaps this link might help

They explain what make Soca what it is, and some influential artists that played it.
