Hi
I've been searching the forum, but couldn't find what I was looking for: the name of some of the software that can slow down a song without changing its pitch
Thx |

Not sure what the latest, greatest offering is on Windows though.
Have you checked out versiontracker.com?

It's shareware so after a short trial period they ask you to register.
The price isn't too bad considering the quality of the software and the feature set.
I think it's worth it. http://www.ronimusic.com/amsldowin.htm

| | | I have tried both Amazing Slow Downer and Transcribe! (the exclamation mark is part of the name) and recommend Transcribe! The user interface is simple and straightforward and I like how easy it is to loop over a certain section of the song. There is a free 30-day fully working trial available at www.seventhstring.com. |

You can slow down to 20% I believe, change the pitch and loop parts of a song that you want to practice. The best part of all though is the fact that it is free. Enjoy http://www.xs4all.nl/~mp2004/bp/

Yes the mix is crap (my bass is way too loud), but it was our first session so take pity ;)

Thx | I use Audacity. It's freeware. Not only can you slow a tune down, but you can slice out parts of a tune that you want to focus on. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
