Thanks for sharing. I like the tone and in some places you seem to get into the changes in a musical way. In other places the tune is "missing" and it gets very hard to follow what's going on. Maybe you could just remix this recording to bring out the backing track a little more and that would help it hang together.

I really like what you're doing. and I also agree with bassybill

maybe try to keep the solo under 2minutes and have a definite beginning middle and end and maybe make more use of space? develop it more like telling a long story

I dont know man. .music is so much subjective u know what i mean?

Here's my band playing the song in a funk feel, my attempt at soloing is recorded. I hope I'll improve soon :)

I would memorize the tune, that's really helpful when soloing over it, I noticed you had to look down at the chart a few times.

Thanks Henry :)

The way it was explained to me is that it's like a language. During a conversation you never read what you're going to say before you say it you just say it so when you're soloing you want to try to eliminate anything that complicates the situation. Reading through the changes is one of those.

hi
you have a good ear , a true melodic sense and very good technique
but it lacks a bit of rigor ( some wrong notes and wrong rhythm )
do some pauses in your phrasing to anticipate chords and scales...

Thank you for the feedback, I've been working hard at playing more melodically.
