Ok, i know this isn't a tutorial, but, thought i'd post it up anyway. It's just a short clip of me messing around over a Bb7 groove.

Thanks Scott. You mentioned enclosing the chord tone. My improvisation just took another leap. Speaking of leaps, this three tone phrase then a leap of at least a 3rd - and then continue that three tone phrase with what you landed on i.e. one note back and then one note above - is magic.

I've heard of the three note phrase and then a leap for years, after your video, it became clear how this could be used.
