Songs with chords on the bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm working on learning how to play chords on the bass, and since it's a little boring to sit there and strum for 30 straight minutes, I'd like to find some songs in which the bassists are playing out whole or partial chords, rather than arpeggios.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Beatles 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' has a few 2-note chords during the bridge ("And when I touch you, I feel happy...") parts.

The intro to Stickin' In My Eye - NOFX is fun. And if you like that, Rancid does that song, and the last two or so chords are a really great fill.

The intro to Tool's "Schism" is a series of two-note bass chords.

I don't know if Lemmy actually used chords in this song, but when I play it I do (root-fifth and root-fifth-octave) and it sounds boss.
