I do not know how to read music, at all. Even when I was in school taking bass I couldn't read it. If I could get some help, like with sites on how to read it or video lessons on youtube, it'd be amazingly helpful.

Thank you

+1. i used to be able to read music, but that was a long time ago. i was taught by my old guitar teacher, but i never used it outside of my lessons. its been awhile since ive read sheet music, but last tiem i tried it sucked. id love to see a free site offering some sheet music songs and the frets/notes that correspond to each written note. if anyone knows anything, please share.

I read treble clef music for 5 years, when I played alto saxophone in a band setting. 2 years later I can't read nothin'.
Which proves the point, in order to read music you have to practice everyday and keep reading and reading.

I could tell you that the lines are E- every G- good B- boy D- does F- Fine and the spaces are F- A- C- E. Sure you'd be able to pick out each note slowly, but whether you get fast is all about reading as much as you can and how much time you put into it. Learning the timing of notes is important to, like how long a quarter, or sixteenth, or dotted half.. etc.

A TBer from here put up some standard notation music on his personal site. Most of it's funk-ish music, but still good to learn.
