Yep, standard tuning, and not a fretless.

in the vid shows him using a ric, but often bands will have instruments in the vid that they didn't record the song with. thx for reminding me of this song tho, i never noticed how cool a bassline the song had.

The singer reminds me of Johnny Depp in "Fear & loathing"

no doubt...I always dug the bass line and I use to listen to this song all the time when the stations played it constantly...then just today I heard it somewhere and told myself I gotta learn that bass line. So the lead singer is the bass player? interesting, one of the replys to that vid is Anthony Langdon of Spacehog and he says he has a new band www.arckid.net

Its a standard 4 string but it is compressed pretty heavily. I just rebought this cd a few months ago, the whole thing is pretty good.

That songs reminds me of being at prep school (I didn't go to a normal high school). A big rock station out of Milwaukee played it constantly when that song first broke. Had some nice friends in school, but definitely don't want to relive those days either.

Hi There,

I have transcribed the main riff to this song previously. Email me at info@probasslessons.com if you would like a copy.

Cheers

Scott
