Started brushing up on my abandoned guitar'ing skills....

I wont lie when I say that even inspite of being a hardcore bass-head , I'm still fascinated by the guitar (acoustic) , especially when played rhythmically . I picked up old guitar , and have started squeezing a bit of time in to practice playing chords and such . I wanna be able to get good enough at this , and I'm sure the extra knowledge on this side will help enchance the bass side and vice versa . Eventually I just believe in the fact that guitar is good for certain things , and bass is great for certain other things . So I should just learn up the best things I find in both , such as Groove in bass and Rhythm and Lead in guitar , rather than being a prat and trying to do lead solo's on the bass , which will just get me a bewilderend head-shaking friend.....

What'd you guys reckon on this thought....
