I've been wanting to get better at reading bass and treble cleff while playing bass. I went through a lot of instructional books but find this Steely Dan Songbook works the best for me. It has a bass line (or an approximation of one) and the melody line. I have a hard time switching between reading treble and bass cleff so now I'm gonna play the tune with one cleff and then play it again in the other. I just practiced for an hour like this and I'm getting the hang of it.
This is so cool

I always wanted to read either at will. I can read either pretty well but only after focusing on one or the other for weeks. Its time for me to woodshed on this.
The great part is its helping my ear with the melodies.
I love practicing. This is so cool I had to share
