Stoopid question

My sight reading is really rusty, say for instance you have a key signature with an F# all octaves of F will be sharp correct? Accidentals are only for one measure?
Sorry for the dumb questions, it's been about 49 yrs since I had to sight read, and I'm not as young as I was.
