| Study/Training Material - Need Recommendations

Here's the deal: I have a lot of free time on my hands where I work. Since I sit in a cubicle in a large office, I cannot bring a bass to work with me. I do, however, spend several hours per day surfing the web waiting for someone to break something (I work in the IT department).
What I would like to know is if anyone is aware of some (good) instruction material (on CD, for example) that I can listen to repeatedly thru headphones and benefit from it? Something similar to those books on tape that people (used to) listen to while driving, but useful and music related.
As an example, I've noticed that Amazon has some ear-training media that might work for me, but that stuff can be very useful to some and totally useless to others and that's one reason I'm asking for TB recommendations. I'm not a beginner, but I'm always looking for ways of becoming a better player.
I'm also aware of some of the online lesson sites and I do look at them as well, but I could really use something that really just requires me to listen. Might be a tall order, but I won't know until I ask. Thanks in advance... |
