I am starting from the first building block of the bass study, and He is talking about music theory and music history, are these going to be taught in future blocks or, does he want me to look up those stuff?

You can explore on your own (there is a wealth of information available online), but if you just follow the Study Guide on the site, you'll get a crack at all the good stuff that lies beyond the mechanics of playing bass -- reading music, rhythm, scales, chord patterns, tabs, etc. Also, the encouragement he gives in the into to find a good teacher and use the site as a supplement to knee-to-knee instruction is advice well heeded.

I don't remember that being carried on through out the rest of his lessons. Read as much as you think necessary, then move on. You know where it is and if you should need to come back you can.
