Suggest a DVD for me, please...

I'm trying to get back into playing after a few years away. I never really learned very much the first go round, but I feel like I'm at about the same point where I stopped before, and want to actually progress this time.

I know how to read music (slowly), I know notes, I'm familiar with the fret board. Flipping through some of the "absolute beginner" books, I seem to be ok until halfway through or so, and start getting lost on keys, scales (there's something other than a major?), and things like that. That's the point where I believe I'm going to start "learning" new stuff (I could also be very wrong about that, please advise).

Could you suggest some DVD's to look at that won't make me feel like I'm immediately in over my head, but at the same time won't make me feel like a child who's being potty trained all over again? Is there such a thing?

Thanks in advance.

*EDIT*
I should add, books (alone) really aren't my thing. Seeing someone else do it and show me how is much more helpful than someone telling me how to do it. I just don't learn that way. DVD + book is ok, but book alone is likely to leave me dumber than when I started, and believe me, nobody wants that.

Norm Stockton's stuff, especially #1 and 2 - GREAT teacher and he doesn't mind you rewinding him! VBG!

I was blessed to be able to take lessons from him for a year - he really is a great teacher!

if you really don't want to feel in-over-your-head, look up this video flea did way back in the day. "adventures in spontaneous jamming" or something like that, i think they have it on youtube somewhere. sorta just good basic concepts to keep in your mind as you get through playing whatever you feel like.

+ (a bunch) for Norm. He teaches you to think intentionally about your playing and will 'whet your whistle' for more theory.

I highly recommend the Norm Stockton DVDs - I have all 4 and they have been a tremendous help to me (DVDs 3 & 4) and to my 10 year old son who is just starting (DVDs 1 & 2)...
