Anybody used one of these?

Appears to be a new model and I can't find any customer reviews?

Thanks.

i have the older model.

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CDBT1/

i haven't used it much but it is pretty sweet. i bought it to work on my ear training, but i'm lazy and revert back to finding the tab. now i kick my self in the butt for it.(training the ear now)

i think they are coming out with a MP3 version. That would do me alot better. i hate burning cd's with only a couple songs so i can use this.

CD-BT2 works as advertised. I enjoy using it. Yes, there is an MP3 version, but I'd wait for V2 on that one...lots of reports on glitches on that unit.

What glitches? Any examples?
I haven't found any yet, but I haven't used it very much. (But I'm going right now) Too much keyboard and too little fretboard.
It NEEDS a case with a clip, BTW... still looking for one.

The BT1 works great, but at this time, the MP3 format is more convenient in my situation. ALso, the smaller size and battery life is an issue for portability. The BT2 appears to have the fragile cd lid problem addressed.

Thanks for the advice.

I have a Creative soundcard in my computer and the software allows me to slow down or speed up the track. I need to practice some songs in a different key, so the cd version would be my choice because it can do that and the mp3 version, as far as I am aware, can't.

According to the description on MusiciansFriend, it does say that "songs can even be pitched up or down". It's hard to tell if its the same feature that the CD version has but I don't see why it would be different.

I'm interested in getting the MP3 version, but I'm sort of concerned about the quality of the Variable Speed Audition" (VSA). I've used the "BestPractice" software to try and slow down songs and I don't think the sound quality of slowed down tracks are that good. The slower you make it, the more choppy and disjointed everything sounds. Has anyone out there had experience with both the Tascam and the BestPractice software? If so... could you let me know how the two compare.
