Teacher???

So I sing up for some lessons (yea) I walk into the place and a dude says hi, this is my 1st bass lesson, let me grab one off the wall...

At that point I am thinking great I know just as much as this guy... We sit down and talk about what I want to learn and need help with. I tell him I want to learn theory and need help with my timing.

He ask me what I what to learn theory for!!! Becouse he does not know it himself.

Then ask me what songs I want to work on for timing.

I think he can play bass better than me, but not much???

We run over a few songs and the lessons over.

The big question is do I go back or cut the cord?

I am from a very small town and the "teacher" is 45 minuets from my house and there are none closer. So to get a new teacher is a tuff possibility.

I highly recommend singing up for online lessons with Cliff Engel. www.cliffengel.com I have been learning with him for 2.5 months and my playing has improved a ton. It's $20 for each lesson which is enough material to practice for 2 weeks.

Send him an email or sign his guestbook.
