tempo changes...

Sign in to disble this ad
Recently, while composing for my "band" I came to realize that one of the songs I was working so hard on has some drastic tempo changes! I'm not talking gradual buildup or anything. I mean that it goes from 90bpm to around 120 bmp for 1 measure, then back to 90 for a while. Eventually switching "for food" to 120bpms again. It flows when I play it, but I feel like I should just throw this one away. Any advise?

as long as it works, and your band is good enough to (eventually) play it right, it's all good. tempo changes are only bad when they're unintentional.

Thanks for the encouragement. Let's hope I can teach it to them!
