Theory Question?

If this has been asked recently, or if the questions is in the archives, please excuse me.

My question: What is a stacked triad?

I assume it's what it sounds like, say in the key of Gmaj, a common I, IV, V7 progression, you would play, in succession, G B D, C E G, D F A?

I've been reading more theory and the book I downloaded didn't have a great description, or at least I didn't understand it.

So, any help wo uld be greatly appreciated.
