Tuning in major thirds

Has anybody tried this? It would essentially give you the ability to play a full chromatic scale in one OFOF position. I've been expirementing with a bass tuned FAC#F, and it is really interesting stuff.

I never had. My hands are used to the fourths. But, I can see how it could be interesting.
