tuning: open and closed strings

my open strings are tuned but when i compare and octave- E3 to open g the E3 is sharp. How do I get them to agree?

Your intonation is off. The way you make sure that this is the problem is you get a tuner and check if the fretted twelth fret and harmonic at the twelfth fret are the same. If they're off, then you need to adjust the saddles by screwing/unscrewing them back them move back and forth.

I'm sure there are better in depth guides for this in the set-up forum, so I'll just leave it at that.
