UGH!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I am trying to learn this song and there are some runs that I just can't figure out! It's driving me crazy! I don't know if I am trying to do too much or what! Can somebody PLEASE help me? The song is "Saved By Grace" (southern gospel) by the McGruders. Here is the link to the youtube video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdh2r...eature=related

The parts I need help with is at time markers 1:49, 2:29, & 2:54.

I would really appreciate any help I can get.

I did a quick listen, but unfortunately, I am about to head out of town for the July 4th holiday. However, if you can play this song in an MP3 format, I recommend you checkout The Amazing SlowDowner program. You can play the song and slow it down without losing pitch. You can also continually loop parts until you get the lick down.

The link is: http://www.ronimusic.com/

I will try to remember to check this message when I get back to see if you still need some help.

there's also a free plugin for windows media player that will allow you to slow down a tune without losing pitch. there's also the free program audacity.

Good playing there. I'd keep in mind that it is just some fills between chord changes. Focus on the chord changes and and sort of do your own thing where he does. Don't need to nail the fills in my mind. Play the chord changes and you'll be fine if you are worried about an upcoming performance. Get the exact fill later. My .02. Bob

I understand what you're saying, and normally I don't even try to play note for note on any song...but I just want to know what he is doing then I'll put my own twist on it.

I know what you mean. I am the same way. Try that slowdown stuff. I use the "amazing slowdowner" but not the full pay version. It will play full tracks 1 and 2 from cd so sometimes I just record a tune to a RW disk. Been very helpful. Bob
