Urgent help needed with song choice.

Hello Tb'ers I am in dire straights and have a music assessment coming up and I haven't yet decided upon a song I would like to play, I really need suggestions. I am of good playing skill and the criteria of the assignment state that it has to be a song of the Jazz or funk genre. I don't have the time to learn a song like Donna Lee but I would like something that shows reasonable technique for a good mark. Thanks for any suggestions.

Vanilla book, Jazz backing tracks on hundreds of jazz standards. In the tool bar go to Backing Tracks. Find one you like then go to the Song List and you have a 90% chance of the song list having the chord progression for that song.

Notice the beat per minute is shown, i.e. "Am I Blue" is at 95 BPM anything under 100 is going to be easy. The song list does have the chord progression for "Am I Blue". Then ask Google to bring up a video of the song so you can hear the melody.
