I have searched high and low for that treasure of a book allas there is nary a thing i can do to attain a copy of the book. I cant find it online or in stores in town. Tom Lee and Long and Mcquade are the two major stores in town and they cant even order the book, Iam sure its been out of print for a long time. Your best bet is to look in heritage stores for music. My bass teacher in university preaches that book like its the holly grail of instructional electronic bass technique and he lost his too, so if you find it I praise you.

Amazon.com: Valda Hammick: Books

Looks like Volume 1 can be ordered, however Volume 2 is going to be a chore. If that helps.....

I just got Valda Hammick's electric bass technique volume 1 in the mail today! I would recommend anything you can get your hands on by Valda. Volume 1 is mainly aimed at 1st or 2nd year music students but the information within the book is still extremely valuable as a maintenance tool for bass players who want to keep their chops up through plateau or down periods in their carers. Even if you cant find vol 2 buy vol 1, its worth it... trust me. Its like buying a real book or a Bugs Bower book because theres always gonna be a time when you can go back and look at that information and you will glad you have it.
