If any of the students from the Bass Collective are out there reading this, that were in fact 1 of the 9 on Victor & Anthony's dvd, this post is just our friendly observations and curious insights.
Please take no offense, or let your head get to gassed up.
Personally, i think i identified with Mike the most. Mike was the guy in the center, with the red Warwick bass & that had on the reading glasses. Mike evidently has a love for playing the bass guitar, as he's a student at the Bass Collective, however, to me, he had no idea of groove, no concept of subdividing time and until that is cleaned up enough for him (subdiving) his progress will be disjointed.
You can learn how to use harmonics and things like that, but that seems meaningless if you haven't adressed the primary role of a bassist. Grooving.
Again, take no offense, just an observation.
