Victor Wooten's book; the spiritual one

Has anybody read his book? The spiritual one about the struggling Nashville bassist? I just ordered it and I'm wondering what to expect.

Why is this in general instruction? Shouldn't this be in misc?

I couldn't really think of where to put it.

For those of you who haven't seen it, it's called something like The Music Lesson. Unfortunately on Amazon it says it gets published in April of next year, so I couldn't order one.

That's correct. The first publishing ended October 31st. Berkley Publishing Group will re-issue the book on April 1st 2008.

I haven't read the book, but general instruction could be appropriate. I think that all great musicians would agree your outlook about life and music has a huge impact on your playing. From what I know about Victor, he has a great outlook on the world and it ties directly into his music. A lot of people ask questions on here about how to play like Victor, and how does he do the slap things he does. Look beyond the hands, he's got something else going on inside.

One of the best books I've read a lot of great insights. Another one Victor turned me on to Effortless Mastery, it's all about learning to let go and let the music flow thru you.
